Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 4 September 2026

These terms govern your use of amuse-network.com (the “Site”), operated by Amuse Network of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. By using the Site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using the Site.

1. Who we are and what this is

Amuse Network is an independent editorial publication about computer networks, internet infrastructure, media delivery and professional networking. The Site provides general information and commentary. It does not provide professional advice, and using it does not create any advisory, consulting or professional relationship between us. See our Disclaimer.

2. Permitted use

You may read, print and share our articles for your own personal, non-commercial use, and you may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link back to the original article.

You may not, without our prior written permission:

  • republish, syndicate or mirror our articles in whole or in substantial part;
  • use our content to train, fine-tune or otherwise develop machine-learning models;
  • scrape, crawl or harvest the Site by automated means beyond ordinary, well-behaved search-engine indexing that respects our robots.txt;
  • remove or alter any attribution, byline or copyright notice;
  • frame the Site or present our content as your own or as endorsed by you;
  • use the Site in a way that damages, overloads or impairs it, or that interferes with anyone else’s use of it;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, its servers or any connected system.

3. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — text, headings, graphics, the Amuse Network name, logo and visual identity, and the selection and arrangement of it all — is owned by Amuse Network or its contributors and licensors, and is protected by the Copyright Act (Canada) and international copyright treaties. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership to you.

Third-party trademarks, product names and standards designations mentioned in articles remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and commentary only. Their use does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those owners.

If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, our DMCA Policy explains how to tell us.

4. Comments and submissions

If you post a comment, send us a pitch or otherwise submit material, you confirm that it is your own work or that you have the right to submit it, and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights.

You keep ownership of what you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to publish, store, reproduce, adapt for length and clarity, and display that material on the Site and in connection with promoting the Site.

We do not pre-screen comments but we may moderate, edit or remove any submission at our discretion, without notice and without giving reasons. We will remove content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, deceptive, spam, or that discloses another person’s private information. Views expressed in comments are those of their authors, not ours.

5. Links to and from other sites

Our articles link to external sites for sourcing and further reading. We do not control those sites, we do not endorse their content by linking to them, and we are not responsible for them. Following an external link is at your own risk and subject to that site’s own terms.

You may link to our articles from your own site provided the link does not suggest any endorsement or affiliation that does not exist, and does not present our content in a false or damaging context.

6. Availability and changes

We provide the Site on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components. We may change, suspend, restrict or discontinue any part of the Site at any time, and we may update, correct or remove articles without notice — though substantive corrections to published articles are noted on the article itself.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amuse Network and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, business or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site or from reliance on anything published on it.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you in connection with the Site is limited to CAD $100.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Amuse Network against any claim, loss or reasonable expense arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Site, or material you submit to it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. If you use the Site from elsewhere, you are responsible for complying with your own local law.

10. General

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer and DMCA Policy, are the entire agreement between us regarding the Site.

11. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
